Transition

Transition is our first resource to help any Christian making the transition into the workplace. It is designed for final year students, and new graduates—to equip them with biblical foundations and helpful guidelines to stand firm for Christ and be an effective Christian witness in the workplace. There are two main reasons for putting Transition together: to encourage graduates to stand firm for Christ; and to challenge them to see the opportunity and urgency of effective Christian witness in the workplace.

What's in Transition?

The material covers five main areas, which we hope will be inspiring and helpful:

• How to think biblically about the world graduates are moving into.
• Biblical foundations for understanding work, identity and integrity.
• How work offers one of the key areas for Christian witness.
• How we cope with some of the significant new challenges: money, sex, power and friends.
• Full spectrum involvement from workplace witness through to whistle-blowing.
• The support that God can give graduates to help them run the race. As TSCF’s graduate and faculty ministries first resource we are seeking to have a booklet ready by the end of the year.
