Catalyst Books is a 100% Kiwi initiative established by Tertiary Students Christian Fellowship.
TSCF has been working with students and graduates in New Zealand for 75 years. We love what we do!
Since 2005 we’ve been selling quality books at our conferences. We love to see good Christian books in the hands of students and graduates – but we’ve longed to make these brilliant books available to everyone, at great prices, all year round!
Our team
The Catalyst bookstore is run by TSCF staff members.
Tim and Lizzy Hodge. Tim and Lizzy ably manage the day to day running of Catalyst Books. They mix a passion for good books with a flair for administration and great service.
Mark Grace. Mark leads Catalyst’s work with graduates in the workplace, postgraduate students and academics. Mark oversees the ongoing development of Catalyst Books.
Raewyn Taylor, Nicola Ingham and Rachel Turner provide the excellent financial, legal, and promotional assistance needed to continue developing Catalyst Books.
Our difference?
We’ve set out to create a small online bookstore that provides carefully selected books at fantastic prices, in specialist areas, with the purpose of seeing the gospel at the heart of New Zealand.
We’re selective. We only stock books from authors we trust and publishers we admire which align with our vision, values and doctrine and that we can offer at realistic prices.
We’re specialist. Besides selling key books in the areas of Christian living and theology, we stock books which explore academic and professional disciplines from a Christian worldview at an introductory, intermediate and advanced level.
We’re committed to gospel-shaped personal, professional and societal transformation. Through small groups of Christ-followers reading and applying quality books in specific disciplines and professions, we long to see the gospel at the heart of New Zealand and New Zealand at the heart of world mission.
